Block 290 is an urban mixed-use building that will consist of 200 apartments over approximately 12,000 square feet of retail surrounding a 16,000 SF public square.  The site is located in the Northwest Portland’s Slabtown District, at the north end of NW 21st avenue near the NW 23rd retail corridor, Nob Hill amenities and a New Seasons grocery store.  The adjacent block to the east will be a public park developed by Portland Parks and Recreation. Block 290 will feature a yoga studio, community room with kitchen and lounge, outdoor amenity deck on the 5th floor with a BBQ area and fire table, garage parking and unimpeded views to the east adjacent full park block. 40 apartments will be affordable to 80% Area Median Income households through voluntary participation in the city’s tax abatement program.
