Shane Northern: Maintenance Appreciation Week 2025
It’s Maintenance Appreciation Week, and we’re continuing to celebrate the hardworking individuals who keep our communities running smoothly behind the scenes.
Today, we’re highlighting Shane Northern, who supports both Hillside Village in Glendale, Oregon, and North Slope Village in Sutherlin, Oregon. Shane has been with Guardian for about a year and takes pride in maintaining properties that residents love. He finds it especially rewarding when residents comment that they’ve never seen the communities in such great shape.
Shane shares that many residents may not realize the ongoing training and professional development that maintenance team members undertake to stay up to date on industry knowledge and best practices. This behind-the-scenes dedication ensures they can provide top-notch service every day.
Sometimes, even small gestures can make a big impact. One memorable moment for Shane was installing blinds in the room of a young resident. “He was so excited and thanked me repeatedly,” Shane recalls.
