Experience

Matt joined Guardian as Director of Acquisitions in April 2025. Matt is an experienced underwriter with a demonstrated history of success working in the commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining Guardian, Matt was an Underwriting Manager at Vulcan Real Estate, where he managed development pro formas, valuation models, and asset management financial analysis. He previously held positions at Bank OZK and U.S. Bank, where he underwrote, structured, originated, and closed loans across a broad range of property types, including multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, industrial, and mixed-use.

Specialities

Matt has extensive experience in complex financial modeling, market analysis, and portfolio management. He specializes in performing detailed underwriting scenarios and asset management support to help drive strong investment returns. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations (Global Business) from the University of Southern California.
